The Highfield Centre is registered with Ofsted to provide ABA (Applied BehaviourAnalysis) programmes for children with Autism ages two and up. We also support the children's integration into mainstream school. The Centre is able to cater for up to eight children at any one time.

Parents must approach their Local Education Authority to obtain funding for a place for their child. Children who attend the Centre will have a Statement of Special Educational Needs that identifies the need for ABA under parts II and III and subsequently names the Highfield Centre as the place for intervention.

School aged children will have a named school identified on the Statement and will receive an appropriate curriculum there. The Highfield Centre will ensure that there is a high level of liaison between the Centre and the School, and that the educational targets identified within the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) are assimilated and incorporated within the intervention programmes.
